Marc Jacobs
The Row
Victoria Beckham
Alexander Wang
New York Fashion Week is well under way so I thought I would share some of my favourite collections so far.
From the poker dots and strict silhouettes at Marc Jacobs to the luxurious fur and lace at The Row, it is clear that AW11 will pay homage to the 1970's in a big way.
Victoria Beckham emerged as the new queen of minimalism with sharp lines and muted tones. Cut to perfection, it's obvious she knows how to dress a woman's body. In stark contrast was the oversized, masculine shapes seen at Alexander Wang. With a return to his signature black colour palette, he added metallic greys and pastel tones to soften the look. I loved the mix of texture, from fur to satin and jersey, this collection had it all.
